Road tripping.

Hi all, welcome back to my arts, music and entertainment blog!  With autumn suddenly upon us I’m sure I’m not the only one missing Summer and thinking back to the amazing times I spent with friends and family.  One of my favourite memories from my summer was a road trip I went on across Western Canada through the Canadian Rockies and over to Vancouver Island.  One of my favourite part of going on a road trip is listening to music at top volume whilst singing at the top of my lungs.   To truly experience a road trip you have to forgo iPods, spotify and youtube and go back to the 90’s and 00’s with a large selection of CDs.   One of my favourite places to find CD’s, rather than rummaging around thrift stores and car boot sales go online!

Here are my top 5 CDs to take with you on your next road trip.

  1. Dookie by Green Day
“I declare I don't care no more”.  24 years later and the lyrics make more sense to me now than ever.

  1. Nevermind  by  Nirvana
Smells like teen spirit.  Lithium. Come as you are. In Bloom. Need I say more.

  2. The Marshall Mathers LP by Eminem
19 Tracks, including Stan, The Way I am and The Real Slim Shady.  No matter who you are there’s no way you can fail to rap along with Eminem.

  1. Baby One More Time by Britney Spears
Nothing quite encapsulates the 90s like Britney Spears, and there’s no-one better to sing along at the top of your voice with than the princess of pop.

and one not from the 90’s or 00’s but well worth bring on a road trip

Because the internet  by Childish Gambino
Amazing lyricist with a unique sound, and some great songs you’ll catch yourself quickly picking up and singing along with.
